Jurors recommend capital punishment
for man convicted of drowning a Newport Beach couple in
2004 and another killing.

My husband Scott and I were lucky enough to have made their aquaintance in Catalina by chance, a couple summers ago. We too are boaters and I noticed that they were from Prescott. I asked if they had heard of the Dry Gulch,and discovered they knew my brother and his wife , who own it. We saw them again in Mexico in Jan 04. "Walt and I met Tom & Jackie in 2002 in LaCruz and really got to know them quite well. We even traded arowing dinghy with Tom, surfed and swam daily with them both. We were completely taken aback when standing in our galley we heard the news. We are currently cruising (land) in Mexico and look for them on every turn of the road.
